We have designed many different crochet blocking boards to assist our customers in producing their very best work when using square-constructed afghans and other items. Recently, we’ve had several requests from customers for a blocker that would accommodate 4″ – 5″ squares, hence the introduction of The Adjustable Mini Blocker!
The Adjustable Mini Blocker is handcrafted in Red Oak Hardwood. It is 6″ square with 56 holes around the perimeter. The 5″ square and the 4 1/2″ square both have 20 holes to block your square and the 4″ square has 16 holes. Both the 5″ and 4″ squares’ holes are 1″ apart and the 4 1/2″ Mini Blocker is spaced at 7/8″. Your purchase includes 20 2″ pins for blocking and the holes are felt covered on the back to prevent your pins from falling through or scratching your work surface. Both versions have three coats of polyurethane to assure that no misting will “leak” into the board while blocking.
Chetnanigans has transitioned to stainless steel pins for all of our blocking boards! They are stronger than our original design, and are still 55% smaller than the 1/4″ dowels that many of our competitors use! Finally they has a beautifully rounded end so that it won’t snag on your yarn, and fits into, and out of the holes perfectly!
